Nebraska's defensive line just got a boost with the addition of Owen Stoudmire, a transfer from Boston College. Stoudmire, a 6-foot-1, 292-pound defensive tackle, has one year of eligibility remaining and brings valuable experience to the team. This is the fourth defensive line commitment Nebraska has secured in recent days, joining Andy Burburjia, Jahsear Whittington, and Anthony Jones. With a strong showing in 2024, Stoudmire recorded 30 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks, solidifying his role as a consistent starter. However, his 2025 season was cut short due to a season-ending injury after just three starts, resulting in five tackles. Stoudmire's decision to transfer was made official on January 14, and he visited Nebraska just a day later, committing to the Huskers shortly after. His arrival will provide much-needed depth and veteran leadership to the defensive line, a position that has seen some turnover recently with the departures of Elijah Jeudy and Jaylen George. Nebraska is also in pursuit of four-star defensive lineman Dylan Berymon, who is expected to commit and sign in February. With these additions, Nebraska is strengthening its defensive line and addressing the need for depth and experience.
